March – Healthy Relationship Patterns: Week 3
Something to explore this week… 🔥
Here’s something that gets misunderstood almost constantly: boundaries are not walls.
They’re not rejection. They’re not aggression. And they’re not a sign that something is wrong with a relationship.
Boundaries are, at their core, an act of profound honesty — with yourself and with the people you care about. They’re how you communicate what you genuinely need, what you can truly offer, and where your edges are. And when they come from a place of self-awareness rather than reactivity, they don’t push people away. They make real closeness possible.
Because here’s what happens without them: we slowly disappear inside our relationships. We give more than we have. We say yes when we mean no. We build quiet resentment where there could have been genuine care. We perform connection rather than experiencing it.
The most aware people often find this the hardest — because we understand other people’s needs so clearly that we override our own.
This week’s prompt:
Is there a relationship in your life where being more honest about your own needs might actually create more genuine closeness rather than distance — and what has made that honesty feel risky?
Take your time. This one often surfaces something worth sitting with. 💛
